When my partner was struggling with her cycle, I knew which herbs could help. The problem? She hated the taste. But she loved chocolate.

About the Founder

Vital Duo was founded by Michael Ip, a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner from Hong Kong, now based in Bristol, UK. Michael created the first herbal chocolate bar for his partner, who disliked the bitter taste of traditional herbs but loved chocolate. Seeing the positive results, he expanded the concept to help wellness seekers achieve natural balance through indulgent, functional chocolate.
Michael Ip is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner originally credentialed in Hong Kong. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in TCM, he possesses extensive expertise in herbal formulation and the Five Elements philosophy. Michael currently treats patients at his private practice in Staple Hill, Bristol. He is dedicated to bridging the gap between 2,000-year-old ancient wisdom and modern nutritional science to create wellness products that are as effective as they are enjoyable."
The Five Elements (Water, Fire, Earth, Metal, Wood) is a foundational concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each element corresponds to specific organs, emotions, seasons, and wellness needs.
